Jazz Dance Workshop for Adults!

When:  3 and 4 May
Time:  3-5pm
Where:  Yama Yoga Studio, Garvey’s location
Cost:  250 QR for both days or 150 QR for one day
Registration deadline:  Sunday, 28 April

*Pre-registration is a MUST!  Register by emailing yamayogastudios@gmail.com by or calling 974- 617-5802 and you must drop off your pre-payment for registration to be guaranteed.  There must be a minimum of 5 dancers each day to run the workshop (so bring your friends!)

This will be an intermediate level Jazz Dance workshop.  Class will include:
•Warm up
•Plie and feet exercises
•Developpes and grande battement exercises
•Pirouettes and other turns
•Across the floor combinations
•Final dance combination

About the teacher:
Tove Lojander is a dance pedagogue and physiotherapist from Finland. In August 2010, Tove moved to Qatar and has been teaching dance in Doha ever since.

Tove has degrees from both the University College of Dance and Choreography (currently University of Dance and Circus) in Stockholm, Sweden and also holds a Bachelor’s of Physiotherapy.  She specializes in jazz dance, but also teaches ballet and contemporary to children and adults.  She has also worked as dancer in P.D.C. Pori Dance Company and performed in productions such as “West Side Story” and “Some Like It Hot”.
